Dmitrii Perfilev has won the 2018 World Series of Poker Circuit Seminole Casino Coconut Creek $1,700 no-limit hold’em main event, defeating a field of 735 total entries to win his first WSOPC gold ring and the top prize of $221,691. This was the first live tournament title of the Russian-born business owner’s career.
“For me, [the money] is not so special, but I’m excited for first place,” Perfilev told WSOP reporters after coming out on top. “It’s my second tournament of the year. My first one came at the Isle and I made third place. And now I improve my results. I’m happy because I like the practice, but I don’t play tournaments for a while.”
Although poker is not his primary source of income, Perfilev does play quite a lot of the game. His primary focus is on pot-limit Omaha cash games.
